BiTech: A Technology-Based Bilingual Vocabulary Instruction for Latino Children (2017-2018)
Dr. Méndez received a grant from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to develop and implement a bilingual academic vocabulary intervention supported by technology for Latino preschoolers.

November 9, 2017: Dr. Lucía Méndez together with Drs. Gabriela Simón-Cereijido, Barbara Conboy, Liz Peña & Lisa Bedore, presented a seminar entitled: Developmental Trends in Content-Form Associations in the Language of Dual Language Learners
November 10, 2017: Dr. Méndez and lab members Ms. Heather Capps, and. Ms. Powers Gaitlin participated in a poster presentation: Same or Different: Narratives in Bilingual Children.
Summer 2017 Conference Presentation
June 11 – 15, 2017, Dr. Lucía Méndez and Dr. Gabriela Cereijido participated in the 11th International Symposium on Bilingualism in Limerick, Ireland. Their poster presentation was titled Exploring the Lexical-Grammatical Relation in Spanish-English Young Dual Language Learners
